Latino College Access Night
APAH has partnered with Virginia Latino Higher Education Network (VALHEN) to support Latino-Hispanic students and parents access higher education.
VALHEN’s mission is to guide first generation students in their path to post-high school life by providing resources, tools, scholarships, and mentorship. The program helps break down barriers for first generation students to attend community college or a four-year institution.
Students, parents, and APAH’s Resident Services Team met with VALHEN representatives on October 5th to discuss program benefits. Throughout the program, we will cover topics such as financial aid, college applications, networking, resume building, as well as college tours starting with George Mason University in November!
