Welcome! If you’re interested in renting a home in APAH’s Columbia Hills Apartments, you’ve found the right page. Here you’ll find information about the apartments, as well as how to submit an application for an apartment.
How to Submit a Wait-list Application
The Columbia Hills leasing office is accepting applications! Please visit the leasing office at 1000 S. Frederick St, Arlington, VA 22204.

There are three ways to submit an application:

Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. Applications sent by fax and by email will be timestamped electronically, and those timestamps will determine the order of receipt.

- All units accessible, with 14 Type-A accessible
- Energy and water efficient building rated EarthCraft Multifamily Platinum
- Community Rooms and outdoor patio/grill space
- Underground parking and controlled-access bicycle storage

*These estimated rents are listed for an individual or family at 60% area median income (AMI); rent may vary from these estimated numbers. A limited number of reduced rentals will be available for income qualified renters.
Utilities
Residents will pay their own electricity (HVAC, cooking, lighting), water, and sewer costs. APAH pays for trash and recycling collection and water heating.
Affordable Housing Requirements
Applicants should be aware that applications for affordable housing involve providing documentation of income and assets for all household members, including but not limited to tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements and benefit information. In addition, applicants must fall within the minimum and maximum income levels:

Transportation Information
Options for public transport can be found online via Arlington County’s car-free diet.
Parking
Columbia Hills will feature three levels of unreserved garage parking. There will be no charge for parking, but spaces will be limited to one per household.
Smoke Free Building
Please note that Columbia Hills will be a smoke free property. Residents will not be permitted to smoke anywhere in the building, including in their apartments.
Pets
Residents may have up to two cats with payment of a pet deposit and monthly pet fee. Dogs are not permitted.
Rental Assistance
Columbia Hills accepts Housing Choice Vouchers and Arlington County Housing Grants.
