Arlington Affordable Housing Project ‘Topped Out’ – NBC4 Washington – January 6, 2016
A milestone is marked in Arlington.
The Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) “topped out” the new Springs Apartments groing up on North Thomas Street near the Ballston Metro.
That’s a construction tradition when the roof is sealed and many of the tradesmen transition from working outside to working in the interior of the structure.
The Springs Apartments will have 104 units and includes community rooms, a business center, underground parking and a playground.
Hundreds of people have already applied for the units which are expected to become available this fall.
Nina Janopaul, the President/CEO of APAH says applications are now being accepted on the group’s website.
Janopaul says other affordable housing projects are in the works.
