Welcome! If you’re interested in being a potential resident at APAH’s upcoming Gilliam Place, you’ve found the right page. Here you’ll find information about the apartments, as well as how to submit a wait-list application for residency.

Location

Gilliam Place: 918 S. Lincoln St. & 3507 Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA 22204

Anticipated Completion of the New Building

Move-ins are currently expected to begin in Summer 2019 and will continue for at least 6 months.
Please note: the development is still under construction and interested renters may NOT enter the building or construction site.

How to Submit a Wait-list Application

The Gilliam Place leasing office will begin accepting waitlist applications at 10:00am on Monday, March 18, 2019You can find a link to the application here. Paper copies of the waitlist application will be available at Buchanan Gardens Apartments (926 S. Buchanan Street, Arlington, VA 22204), Marbella Apartments (1301 N. Queen Street, Arlington, VA 22209) and The Springs Apartments (555 N. Thomas Street, Arlington, VA 22203).

There are three ways to submit a waitlist application:

  1. By fax: 703-436-9556
  2. By email: gilliamplace@slnusbaum.net
  3. By mail: Gilliam Place Apartments, PO Box 41450, Arlington, VA 22204

Waitlist applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Staff will pick up mail from the P.O. Box daily, and those applications will be time stamped according to the date and time of the pick-up. Applications sent by fax and by email will be timestamped electronically, and those timestamps will determine the order of receipt.

Please keep in mind that applications for residency at APAH properties are competitive, with more applications received than apartments available. Please visit our Upcoming Properties page to learn more about additional projects in our pipeline.

Interest List

Note: signing up for the interest list is not the same as submitting a waitlist application.  Signing up for the interest list means that you are signing up to receive updates about the property through the end of the initial leasing stage at Gilliam Place. APAH encourages everyone who is interested in an apartment at Gilliam Place to sign up for the Gilliam Place interest list AND to submit a waitlist application on or after March 18, 2019.

Utilities

Residents will pay their own electricity (heating & air conditioning, cooking, lighting, and other use within the apartment), and water & sewer costs. The owner will pay for trash/recycling and water heating.

Affordable Housing Requirements

Applicants should be aware that applications for affordable housing involve providing documentation of income and assets for all household members, including but not limited to tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements and benefit information.  In addition, applicants must fall within the minimum and maximum income levels:

Transportation Information

Public transport options can be found online via Arlington County’s car-free diet.

Parking

Gilliam Place will feature unreserved garage parking. There will be no charge for parking, but spaces will be limited to one per household.

Smoke Free Building

Please note that Gilliam Place will be a smoke free property.  Residents will not be permitted to smoke anywhere in the building, including in their apartments.

Pets

Residents may have up to two cats with payment of a pet deposit and monthly pet fee.  Dogs are not permitted.

Rental Assistance

Gilliam Place accepts Housing Choice Vouchers and Arlington County Housing Grants.
