Prospective Resident Information

Welcome! If you’re interested in being a potential resident in APAH’s upcoming Columbia Hills Apartments, you’ve found the right page. Here you’ll find information about the apartments, as well as how to submit a wait-list application for residency.
Move-ins are currently expected to begin in late 2018 and will continue for at least 6 months.
Please note: the development is still under construction and interested renters may NOT enter the building or construction site.
How to Submit a Wait-list Application
The Columbia Hills leasing office is now accepting waitlist applications!
You can find a link to the application here. Paper copies of the waitlist application will be available at Buchanan Gardens Apartments (926 S Buchanan Street, Arlington, VA 22204) and at Marbella Apartments (1301 N Queen Street, Arlington, VA 22209).
There are three ways to submit a waitlist application:

- By mail: Columbia Hills Apartments, PO Box 41450, Arlington, VA 22204
Waitlist applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Staff will pick up mail from the P.O. Box on a daily basis, and those applications will be time stamped according to the date and time of the pick-up. Applications sent by fax and by email will be timestamped electronically, and those timestamps will determine the order of receipt.

*These estimated rents are listed for an individual or family at 60% area median income (AMI); rent may vary from these estimated numbers. A limited number of reduced rentals will be available for income qualified renters.
Residents will pay their own electricity (HVAC, cooking, lighting), water, and sewer costs. APAH pays for trash and recycling collection and water heating.
Affordable Housing Requirements
Applicants should be aware that applications for affordable housing involve providing documentation of income and assets for all household members, including but not limited to tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements and benefit information. In addition, applicants must fall within the minimum and maximum income levels:

Columbia Hills will feature three levels of unreserved garage parking. There will be no charge for parking, but spaces will be limited to one per household.
Smoke Free Building
Please note that Columbia Hills will be a smoke free property. Residents will not be permitted to smoke anywhere in the building, including in their apartments.
Residents may have up to two cats with payment of a pet deposit and monthly pet fee. Dogs are not permitted.
Columbia Hills accepts Housing Choice Vouchers and Arlington County Housing Grants.
