Join our Volunteer Team!
When you volunteer with APAH, you help residents build their assets, find opportunity, and enjoy stress-free moments of joy.
Volunteers play an integral role as we work to achieve our vision of an inclusive, caring, and economically diverse Arlington. We invite you to join us in this important work that is helping both our residents and the community at large to thrive.
There are many opportunities for individuals and groups to engage with, and support, this community-based nonprofit organization.
Special events and holiday programs provide occasional opportunities for individuals to engage with APAH. There are also many opportunities to be placed in medium and long-term positions that allow volunteers to develop a greater understanding of APAH and affordable housing, and to develop relationships with residents and the APAH team.
Current needs for ongoing volunteers include:
- Child Care
- Food Distribution
- Teaching Basic Computer Skills
- Reading Partners
- Donation Collection
Calling all business, church, community, and school groups! APAH hosts many volunteer groups who share their time and services with us. During national days of volunteering, like Giving Tuesday or Martin Luther King Day of Service, APAH often sees groups wanting to be a part of a bigger movement. But opportunities for groups to volunteer happen all year!
Current group volunteer opportunities include:
- Property Clean-up Days
- Donation collection for holidays and back-to-school needs
- Cooking and delivering an evening meal
Whether you are ready to volunteer with us today, or you are exploring the organization and the opportunities to get involved, let’s get the conversation started to see how we can work together to support our neighbors, celebrate diversity, advocate for affordable housing, and strengthen the Arlington community!
